Incident Management Associate

The Role

The Incident Management associate will be reporting directly to the Incidents and Complaints Team Leader and will be responsible for ensuring that all incidents raised across the business, are logged, assessed, approved and corrected within internal SLAs. Where there is potential for an incident to have caused a client financial detriment, the associate will need to ensure performance calculations are completed and if necessary, the clients put back into the correct position.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reviewing all incidents raised across the business are effectively recorded on the Incident and Breach Log
  • Assessing and approving all incidents; working out the corrections required to resolve the issue and identifying the correct root cause. Then eventually approving the assessments of other team members
  • Carrying out any required corrections to the back-office systems to ensure the issue has been adequately resolved. Then determining if the client has suffered any detriment by conducting the necessary loss calculations suited to the issue, adding any required correctional payments to put the client back into the correct position
  • Completion of weekly MI to show new incidents raised, incidents closed and incidents outstanding by department and team. MI to be distributed weekly to the Executive Committee and the wider business
  • Working in a collaborative way with all areas of the business to ensure all incidents have been raised and closed in a timely manner


Skills and Experience

  • Strong numerical skills are essential
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially strong Excel knowledge
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strength to challenge current processes and senior members of the team
  • Ability to provide critical analysis
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially strong Excel knowledge
